The Construction Site Superintendent is responsible for field supervision and coordinating all aspects related to the construction of assigned residential, light commercial, and other construction projects
Responsibilities :
Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and requirements for each phase of constructionCommunicates project requirements to the Residential Construction ManagerEnsures the project master schedules are followedConfers with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to resolve complaints and disputesConfers with supervisory and management personnel, inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction conflicts and improve construction methodsInspects work in progress to ensure the adherence to construction schedules and that workmanship conforms to specificationsEnsures that the health and safety company policies, as well as all OSHA guidelines, are followed in every aspect of constructionPerforms all duties in adherence to Company standardsStrives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practicesMaintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workersPerforms other duties as assignedEducation and Experience :
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred5 years of demonstrated experience working in a production home environment for a residential homebuilder constructing at least 150 homes per year required5 years of construction supervisory experience preferred5 years of related experience in residential production in a similar capacity preferredSkills and Knowledge :
Must be able to read, write and understand English with strong written and verbal business communication and presentation skillsComputer skills requiredAbility to schedule all tasks involved in the construction process of single-family homesExcellent subcontractor and field supervision leadership capabilitiesAbility to read and follow blueprints and all construction documentationExcellent time management skillsPersonal Attributes :
