What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sandblaster position at Onboarding Resource, LLC?
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Surface preparation & protective coating applications on above ground piping; steel structures; and other related appurtenances.
- Operate & maintain various blasting, spraying, & other equipment.
- Prepare and clean items and surfaces to be finished.
- Ensure the proper movement of finished goods to inspection or shipping area; cleaning and maintenance of spray application equipment, booths, filters, protective clothing, and equipment according to established practices. Ensure needed painting and coating supplies are on hand.
- Any other responsibilities as assigned.
JOB SKILLS:
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques.
- Ability to utilize scaffolding, rigging, access, containment systems, & safety equipment
- Demonstrated strong technical background with an ability to interpret charts, graphs, and technical paint specification data for material application
- Demonstrated strong mechanical background with an ability to identify root cause analysis of equipment and troubleshoot problems for the maintenance and repair of paint equipment
- Perform all duties in accordance with company's quality control, quality assurance, & health & safety policies & procedures, as well as industry standards & project specifications
- Understand quality control and reporting standards as it relates to industrial coatings
- Material handling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Accurate paperwork completion & other duties as assigned
