Summary
Compiles and maintains accounts payable records by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
- Generate accounts payable and refund checks, post invoices in the computer system and oversees accounts payable to paperwork.
- Match invoices to receiving documents.
- Research vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies.
- File paid and unpaid invoices and statements.
- Organizes and match returns paperwork.
- Prepare accounts payable checks.
- Print all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files.
- Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
- Assists in monthly closings.
- Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary.
- Requires strong concentration skills.
- Requires multitasking.
- Requires heavy personal interaction with co-workers or customers.
- Requires the ability to be prompt and work when customers are present (or calling).
- Requires the employee to be present at the workplace

Qualifications
Education and / or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software; Database software; Design software; Internet software; Inventory software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
