This role will primarily support our main operations in Appleton, WI, while also providing guidance to field service teams across North America.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Leadership
- Act as a dynamic change agent, inspiring and coaching employees at all levels to embrace a safety-first mindset.
- Design and implement a cutting-edge Behavioral Safety Program aligned with OnCare’s values and goals.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive safety management systems that proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Conduct advanced risk assessments, addressing root causes of unsafe behaviors with innovative solutions.
- Lead engaging safety training programs, with a focus on behavioral and proactive safety strategies.
- Utilize leading and lagging safety performance indicators to measure and improve outcomes.
- Foster a transparent, non-punitive safety reporting culture.
Compliance and Regulatory Management
- Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations.
- Stay ahead of emerging safety standards, best practices, and technological advancements.
- Prepare detailed compliance reports and manage external audits or inspections.
- Develop and update HSE policies and procedures, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.
Environmental Stewardship
- Lead the implementation of environmental management systems that support sustainability goals.
- Develop and track key environmental performance metrics.
- Reduce OnCare’s environmental footprint by championing green technologies and sustainable practices.
- Conduct thorough environmental impact assessments and implement actionable improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or NEBOSH preferred.
- 5 years of progressive HSE experience with a proven track record as a transformational leader.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate a world-class safety culture and drive innovation.
- Strong knowledge of industry-specific safety regulations and standards.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in safety management software and tools.
- Expertise in OSHA compliance, safety auditing, and hazard identification.
- Skilled in using and maintaining safety equipment, including fire prevention and hazardous material protection tools.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and business intelligence platforms.
