Summary
Job Summary
Coordinates the administrative and clinical aspects of multiple research studies. Assists the principal investigators to assure compliance with the policy for protection of human subjects and the ethical principles that guide clinical research.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborates with primary investigator, sponsor and research staff to plan, conduct, and evaluate project protocols/studies.
- Monitors and reports on progress of clinical research studies to leadership, physicians, cancer committee, and breast committee.
- Assists with the screening, recruitment, selection, and monitoring of research subjects.
- Manages the handling and reporting of adverse events, compliance, and other participant-related issues in collaboration with the principal investigators.
- Coordinates the preparation and delivery of departmental communications, presentations, and marketing/educational materials according to the regulatory standards.
- Collaborates to ensure the department's compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Assists with responding to and preparing for audits.
- Abstracts data and verifies data from source documents related to the dosing, eligibility of subjects, informed consent, study related visits, clinical reports, and assessments.
- Submits clinical research protocol documents to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) according to the standards and guidelines for research.
- Participates and works in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in related field required upon hire OR
- Bachelor's degree or higher in science related field preferred
- A minimum of 1 year relevant experience required
- No licensure/certification/registration required
