What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Physicist position at Oncology Services Medical Group, Inc.?
Use experience with Patient-Specific Quality Assurance (Patient QA) to measure the dose from the radiation treatment machine and compare it to the treatment plan for our patient. Use experience with linear accelerator monthly quality assurance to meet State and Federal as well as societal regulations for the use of radiation producing machines that are used to treat our patients with radiation. Use experience with brachytherapy treatment and quality assurance to validate radiation source exchange, daily and monthly QA, and verification of the radiation safety program that meet both State and Federal regulations. Use experience with radiation treatment plan verification to verify and check all treatment plan parameters for correctness and appropriateness for each patient. Use knowledge of radiation therapy treatment planning and isodose calculations to provide radiation therapy and radiation therapy dosimetry.Requirements
- Masters Degree in Medical Physics, or related field;
- 2 years of experience as Medical Physics Resident, or related job title;
- Experience with Patient-Specific Quality Assurance (Patient QA);
- Experience with linear accelerator monthly quality assurance;
- Experience with brachytherapy treatment and quality assurance;
- Experience with radiation treatment plan verification; and
