Position Summary
As an Engineering Analyst at Oncor, you will prepare Field Construction Coordinator (FCC) schedules and sequences activities per available material, construction resources, clearance availability, etc at the direction of the Construction Manager. In addition, this role may perform various functions for the entire group such as coordinate special projects throughout the system, provide technical expertise for programs used by the group, coordinate FCC assignments, and prepare work scopes/permit requests.

As an Engineering Analyst at Oncor, you will prepare Field Construction Coordinator (FCC) schedules and sequences activities per available material, construction resources, clearance availability, etc at the direction of the Construction Manager. In addition, this role may perform various functions for the entire group such as coordinate special projects throughout the system, provide technical expertise for programs used by the group, coordinate FCC assignments, and prepare work scopes/permit requests.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Assign Contract Field Construction Coordinator (FCC) to projects, tracking of their daily logs, and training/tracking use of Oncor applications.
- Proctoring/tracking of FCC training, permissions and substation keys.
- Assist in the onboarding and training of FCC’s, including Oncor systems such as PETE, Field HQ, PAM, and other Oncor applications
- Communicate the status and issues of assigned construction projects to vested parties by maintaining status and provide project updates to stakeholders
- Manage tracking and issuance of substation keys for Oncor internal employees
- Prepare templates and assist with sequence drawings of project stages for communication to TGM, ERCOT and other vested parties.
- Other technical and administrative support to construction activities by: 1) Assisting with the coordination of other vendor work assignments, 2) preparation of ad hoc reports
- Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
- Engineering Analyst Associate: 1-3 years of experience in the operation, design or construction of electrical facilities is preferred
- Engineering Analyst: 4 to 5 years of experience in the operation, design or construction of electrical facilities is preferred
- Engineering Analyst Sr.: 5 to 7 years of experience in the operation, design or construction of electrical facilities is preferred
- Computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn to use some specific Oncor Programs such as PETE
