Position Summary
The Supply Chain Specialist is a key role providing expertise and support for a broad range of responsibilities in Supply Chain that may include Strategic Sourcing, Equipment Management, and Inventory.
This position will be a hybrid role (at least 3 days in office) reporting to 777 Main in Fort Worth, Texas.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Engage within Oncor and externally to develop supply chain strategic plans and business intelligence
- Assist with supplier evaluation and scoring methodology to be used during supplier selection
- Develop communication and reporting strategy to ensure that key stakeholders are kept informed
- Review, communicate, and manage upcoming material requirement needs
- Develop and publish supply chain reports to support budgeting, forecasting, and continuous process improvements
- Monitor supply chain activity and take required actions to meet performance measures
- Establish and maintain business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Stay abreast of industry and business changes; plan and implement policies and procedures to support industry changes and new technologies
- Test the functionality of new technology applications and practices to ensure no harm to our stakeholders
- Oversee technical support of supply chain applications and systems.
- Provide technical assistance, root cause analysis, and recommendations to the Supply Chain organization and internal Oncor customers
- Ensure supply chain activities support Oncor’s Construction, Emergency Restoration, and Program work
- Provide ongoing education to Oncor personnel inside and outside of the Supply Chain organization, including developing and leading workshops.
- Participate with various task force, training and/or ad-hoc committee assignments throughout Oncor
- Performs other duties as assigned when required
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
- BA or BS degree with a focus in supply chain or logistics is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience is required
- Utility industry experience is preferred
Skills
- Strong functional knowledge of Maximo, Cognos, and Tableau is highly preferred
- Working knowledge of Oracle and SQL
- Conceptual knowledge of supply chain industry best practices
- Ability to facilitate the design and reengineering of supply chain processes
- Able to build agreement and positively influence team outcomes
- Strong written and oral communication
- Intermediate Microsoft office capabilities; Advanced is preferred
- Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
