What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Engineer | Career Growth | Manufacturing position at One Eighty Collective?
Here’s your chance to step into a career-defining Industrial Engineering role with a growing industry leader. Our client is reshaping cabinetry and casework manufacturing through cutting-edge technology, and they’ve just created a brand-new Industrial Engineer position that puts you at the center of it all.
You’ll work side-by-side with the VP of Operations and senior leadership to shape the future of the company’s production operations. With big investments in advanced machinery and a sharp focus on lean manufacturing, this is a high-impact opportunity for someone who’s ready to make a real difference—not just tinker at the edges.
Our client is on the rise and looking for the right talent to grow with them. If you’re passionate about process improvement, data-driven decision-making, and working with state-of-the-art woodworking technology, this role is designed for you.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and optimize plant layout, process flows, and machine utilization to eliminate bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
• Leverage tools like Amper to evaluate machine performance, identify downtime drivers, and recommend data-backed improvements.
• Offer technical insight into machine capabilities—especially HOMAG woodworking equipment—and guide department leads through optimization and troubleshooting efforts.
• Create and document SOPs and standardized workflows that support lean manufacturing goals.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives that improve throughput, reduce waste, and support growth.
• Contribute to key machinery investment decisions as the company scales its operations.
What You’ll Achieve:
In your first 3–6 months, expect to lead quick wins on the production floor, evaluate current utilization patterns, and lay the foundation for long-term improvements. Over the next couple of years, you’ll help the company transition into a fully data-driven manufacturing environment—and you’ll be instrumental in making sure it scales efficiently and effectively.
This isn’t just another engineering job. It’s your chance to make a direct and measurable impact—on process, on performance, and on people. As the first hire of its kind, you’ll have the freedom to shape the role, and the backing of a leadership team committed to operational excellence.
Looking to grow? There’s a clear path toward a Director of Operations role as the company continues expanding and the current VP takes on broader responsibilities.
