Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer to join our team as a Manufacturing Optimization Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing plant layout and process flow to reduce bottlenecks and improve efficiency. You will utilize data-driven analysis to provide high-level technical expertise on machine operations, troubleshooting, and optimization. Additionally, you will support lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and improve production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize plant layout & process flow to reduce bottlenecks and improve efficiency
- Utilize data-driven analysis (e.g., Provide high-level technical expertise on machine operations, troubleshooting, and optimization)
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and improve production efficiency
- Analyze and recommend machinery investments as the company scales operations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and leadership teams to drive process improvements
Requirements
- Background in Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and data analysis
- Experience in cabinetry, casework, or woodworking manufacturing
- Proficiency in OEE, downtime analysis, and process optimization tools
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on problem-solving (50/50 split between strategy & floor work)
- Strong collaboration skills, working closely with production and leadership teams
- Degree in Industrial Engineering (or equivalent manufacturing engineering experience)
