Import Specialist

We are looking for an organized, detail oriented and self motivated Import and Logistics Specialist. This position is responsible for a involves a broad range of tasks such as , coordinate and optimize the import of finished goods, tracking incoming containers, transportation, as well as support supply chain operations of One Frozen, LLC. Acts as liaison between vendors, customer, warehouse, carriers and other applicable departments. This role requires attention to detail and excellent organizational, communication and time-management skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Processes incoming customer orders and / or forecasts (order entry), coordinate inbound shipments and billing (order shipment / fulfillment).
• Collaborates with vendors and freight forwarders by scheduling orders based on weekly container allocations.
• Collects all import documentation needed per government regulations in a timely manner. Ensures documentation is free of errors and providing documentation to appropriate parties.
• Tracks containers and works closely with customs brokers making sure that proper delivery order information is filed and containers are clear upon arrival.
• Ensures that loaded and empty containers are pulled and / or returned to the port terminals in time to avoid extra charges (i.e., detention and demurrage)
• Communicates proactively to maintain a high level of customer service and maintain existing relationships.
• Monitors forecasts and assist in maintaining inventory of customer products in outside warehouses

Occasionally need to lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, with a potential of up to 25 pounds.
