Position Description
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative General Clerk to perform data entry and administrative office functions at our field service center.
Our clerks undergo a 6-month training program designed to provide new employees with sufficient training and on-the-job work experience to prepare the employee to properly and safely complete their job duties.
During this program, there is a 6-month progression step where the employee must show the ability to perform required department tasks, including their primary job duty. The pay scale increases with the successful completion of the progression step.
The General Clerk supports various field operations functions on a daily basis. This position is responsible for receiving and sending customer requests, line locates, and service orders. This position will also handle dispatch of personnel and information in emergency and non-emergency situations.
Responsibilities may include electronic and paper database management, and special projects. General office duties, including answering phones, managing mail & some department scheduling, may also be required.
