Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behavior.
- Implement behavior management strategies as needed for clients with specific challenges.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client status to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
- Collaborate with family members and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities or outings as appropriate.
Skills
- Experience in dementia care or working with individuals requiring specialized support is highly desirable.
- Strong background in social work or home community care can be beneficial for understanding client needs.
- Familiarity with assisted living environments and personal care homes is a plus.
