One Love Candle & Bath is a local, small family owned business with deep roots in the Rockford area. Our owner manufactures many of the items sold in our Boutique in her off-site studio. The One Love brand is also sold online through our website as well as to wholesale customers (other retailers) in all 50 states! We are proud to support other local artisans and USA makers by carrying their creations in our boutique to curate a unique selection of gifts, home goods, and personal products that make our offerings and our customers' shopping experience unique. We place an emphasis on personalized customer service and a team-centered work culture where we truly care for our employees and their well-being.
We are hiring for part time positions at our Boutique.

*Overview*
We are seeking self motivated, outgoing, energetic team members who focus and take pride on providing personalized, high-end customer service through sharing detailed product knowledge with the ability to guide clients through a customized shopping experience. This often involves mini consultations to understand individual needs and preferences. In addition to interacting with customers in our boutique setting, knowledge and interest in artisan and natural products are a big plus, as we are a truly local company who manufactures our own products. Packaging and merchandising these products also play a critical role in this position. Cash handling and point of sale experience are required. The Sales Associate’s responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products, and recommend the appropriate solutions. You should also be able to promptly resolve customer concerns or complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a sales associate within our organization, you should stay up-to-date with product features that we will provide you and maintain the high standards of our store’s visual appearance as well as follow employee procedure.
Ultimately, a top-notch Sales Associate should be able to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals and keeping the storefront operations running smoothly.
*Responsibilities*
-Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries. Inform them of our brand if they are visiting for the first time.
-Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
-Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features.
-Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
-“Go the extra mile” to drive sales & deliver personalized service
-Maintain in-stock and presentable conditions.
-Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
-Cross sell products
-Process POS (point of sale) purchases
-Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
-Build productive trust relationships with customers
-Comply with inventory control procedures
-Assist in packaging product as it arrives from our production studio. Labeling, tying, wrapping, etc.
-Take orders in-store and over the phone and comply with procedures
-Package online orders and ready them for shipping
*Qualifications*
- Strong work ethic

- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and their requirements
- Familiarity with inventory procedures including transaction accuracy

- Manage your time to stay on track and meet deadlines
- Availability to work flexible shifts

- Prior experience in cash handling
- Familiarity with retail math concepts
- Ability to effectively stock and merchandise products
- Knowledge of POS systems and merchandising techniques
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
