What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flex Phlebotomist position at One Medical?
One Medical is a primary care solution that challenges the industry status quo by making quality care more affordable, accessible and enjoyable. We transform healthcare by improving the experience for everyone involved - from patients and providers to employers and health networks. Our services include seamless in-office and 24/7 virtual care, on-site labs, and programs for preventive care, chronic care management, common illnesses and mental health concerns.
We are committed to building a diverse, driven and empathetic team that thrives in our environment. As a Flex One Medical Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant, you will provide exceptional patient experiences by providing venipuncture and other clinical support services. You will be an ambassador for patients, with a mastery of human connection and a strong drive for service. You will remove barriers to care, resulting in a truly exceptional in-office patient experience.
You will work closely with the Practice Coordinator, Operations Manager, or providers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include using impeccable C-I-CARE skills in all patient interactions, performing venipuncture services, maintaining high standards of in-office care, and continuing to care for members beyond the lab room. You will also contribute to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, and participating in problem solving.
Requirements for this role include at least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment. Strong customer service skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships, are also required. Proficiency in computer technology, such as typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously, is necessary. Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams is also preferred.
This is a full-time role with 8 hour shifts generally taking place Monday through Friday between 7:30am-6:30pm. This position is based at our office in Oak Brook, IL and would also support our Deerfield and Skokie locations on an as-needed basis.
