Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the Manager of College Partnerships is responsible for the oversight of scholar programming at multiple program sites. The Manager of College Partnerships will supervise and support a team of Program Coordinators (PCs) serving City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) campus sites, build ongoing collaboration with campus staff, support scholar event programming and new scholar recruitment, and manage scholar engagement metrics and outcomes for each respective program.
With the strong evidence base from our study, it is critical that we continue to deliver our program with fidelity. As supervisor to scholar-facing staff, the Manager of College Partnerships is responsible for fidelity of program implementation across respective program sites. The Manager will coach his/her/their team of Program Coordinators (PC) to be accountability partners to their scholars, to thoughtfully document case notes and data to inform programming and plans, and to guide their scholars on their journey of self-reflection and goal-setting. The Manager guides PCs using the OMD Theory of Action and tie the importance of our program model to the success of our scholars.
As part of the Program Management Team, the Manager of College Partnerships will also be responsible for collaborating with his/her/their peers and manage projects related to the successful execution of program initiatives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Program Management and Development (70%)
- Lead a team of 3-5 Program Coordinators (PC) across 3-4 CCC campuses in implementing the OMD model with fidelity
- Support and meet with PCs at their respective campus sites, coaching them as they build a robust OMD program and partnership with their college
- Guide PCs in developing and maintaining awareness of student services and event offerings on their campuses and in becoming an integral part of their campus community
- Conduct quarterly observation, reflection, and feedback sessions of PC-scholar meetings and workshop facilitation
- Provide ongoing support and coaching of PCs in their areas of need and desired development, including management of Individual Performance Improvement Plans, as needed
- Manage and monitor Key Performance Indicators and data quality for respective programs
- Manage day-to-day troubleshooting and issue escalation involving PCs, their scholars, and CCC staff
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and goal-setting conversations
- Work closely with Director of Strategic Initiatives to plan and execute scholar onboarding activities, project new scholar program slots, and meet program size targets. Manage and facilitate program workshops and campus-based scholar events in coordination with direct reports and the program support team
- Support program support team on annual scholar events
- Collaborate with volunteer and alumni program staff on volunteer coach relationships relevant to PC caseloads
- Participate in hiring and training activities of Program Coordinators
Partnership Management (30%) for respective college campuses
- Develop collaborative working relationships with campus stakeholders to ensure high-quality and responsive implementation of the One Million Degrees model and services
- Build strategic partnerships with campus staff that will connect scholars with resources, promote scholar success, and support scholar recruitment activities
- Support direct reports with campus staff meetings and represent OMD at college-wide meetings
- Manage and prepare agendas, meeting materials, notes, and follow up items for quarterly progress updates and outcomes meetings with college leaders and liaisons
- Coordinate with appropriate campus staff to manage campus-based program logistics such as securing space and equipment for Program Coordinators and events. Work closely with the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Recruitment Manager to successfully promote program to prospective scholars on assigned campuses
- Coordinate with members of the Leadership Team and strategic partners on new initiatives and partnerships, as needed

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
Experience:
- 3 years in education or human services, preferably including work as a case manager
- Experience or equivalent experience managing direct reports (or in a coaching role)
- Experience managing partnerships and collaborations (internal and external partners/leaders) to implement projects or programs
- Experience working across teams or organizations to create a project or program
- Experience planning and leading events
- Experience managing in a unionized environment is a plus
Skills:
- Data: Proven ability to make data-driven decisions
- Technology: Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and highly proficient in in utilizing CRMs for case management (Salesforce experience preferred)
- Project Management: Proven success working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing multiple workstreams
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a proven ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and the ability to give and receive candid feedback

USD 66,000 - USD 68,000Commensurate with experience
