Job Summary
The Director of Foster Care Recruitment for Florida is responsible for supporting Foster Care teams in meeting established caseload and new foster home requirements by taking responsibility and leading recruitment efforts. The Recruiter has individual goals tied to the goals and metrics for the Foster Care department and OMC’s overall strategic vision. They implement strategies designed to identify, build and maintain relationships with community and church leaders, that will create opportunities to recruit foster families. The Recruiter will maximize effectiveness of these relationships by organizing events and activities designed to recruit foster families. Additionally, the Recruiter handles inquiries for information submitted by churches or potential foster families. The position requires day and overnight travel throughout the state by car, and a work schedule that can include nights, weekends, and holidays. It is a remote based position, traveling throughout the state of Florida.
Essential Duties And Functions
Own foster care family recruitment through development and execution of recruitment strategies, that guide planning and recruitment efforts.
Meet and maintain assigned OMC goals and metrics and provide required support for overall foster care program goals and objectives are achieved within prescribed timeframes.
Review and interpret OMC metric data related to recruitment, communicating accordingly with foster care staff, to drive successful completion of goals.
Establish relationships with church and community partners that lead to the recruitment of Christian foster families that meet or exceed the quality standards of the program.
Collaborate with the various foster care teams to ensure understanding of recruitment needs and develop action plans for recruitment that will support meeting goals for new homes and caseloads.
Cultivate relationships with Pastors and church leaders with a primary and intentional focus on foster care and that will lead to recruitment activities and events lead by the recruiter for the local teams.
Actively engage in scheduling speaking engagements or tabling events within local churches and community groups in assigned, collaborating with the local foster care team.
Handle inquiries for foster care in assigned areas within the established timeframes and facilitate transition of the inquiry to the appropriate local foster care team through the established processes.
Collaborate with non-foster care teams for inclusion in events or partnerships that would assist in the recruitment process and for referring non-foster care related inquiries.
Complete all documentation regarding inquiries and recruitment efforts in a timely manner to create transparency into goal progress in the appropriate OMC database (Raisers Edge).
Establish and maintain a portfolio of partnership constituents, which should include documenting all recruitment activities related to them.
Comply with expectations from each foster area’s external oversight organization and related contracts for relevant position responsibilities, including, but not limited to, documentation and communication.
Train and oversee OMC volunteers and interns to assist with recruitment activities, as appropriate.
Host monthly live and virtual informational meetings.
Participate in continuing education opportunities, including agency in-service training, professional seminars, workshops, and conferences and to ensure that all training requirements required by OMC, are fulfilled annually and by the assigned deadline.
Perform other tasks related to OMC’s strategic vision and mission to serve one more child, as assigned.

Required Experience And Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Social Work, Human Services, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Management, or a related field.
A valid Florida driver’s license within 30 days of hire and maintenance of a current driver's license throughout tenure.
Preferred Experience And Qualifications
Prior experience with the Raiser’s Edge database platform.
Prior experience in a role requiring public speaking, sales, marketing, or recruitment.

This job requires the ability to work in stressful conditions from pressing deadlines at times, as well as remain focused while working. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds (boxes, documents, and equipment) is also necessary.
