Job Summary:
The Parking Enforcement Officer is responsible for monitoring all locations in the Downtown area. They will answer any questions related to the parking facility or the surrounding area and assist customers with issues related to mobile phones and pay phone apps. The Parking Enforcement Officer will work closely with fellow team members to ensure that quality and safety standards are met and adhere to state and local laws. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service experience, especially in difficult situations.
- Remain calm and professional even when dealing with challenging customers.
- Follow up with management on any potential customer service issues.
- Assist customers with proper use of pay stations and perform minor maintenance as needed.
- Report any suspicious or illegal activities to the appropriate authorities
- Assist with traffic control during special events or emergencies
- Patrol assigned areas to enforce parking regulations
- Issue tickets for violations such as expired meters or improper
Physical demands/Working conditions:
- Able to walk, stand for up to 10 hours or more, bend, crouch, reach, and use stairs when required
- Must be able to lift to 50lbs or more
- Work is performed outdoors the entire shift.
- Employees are subject to environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold weather.
- Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- Possession of a valid Parking Enforcement Officer certificate (Preferred)
- Proficient in report writing and documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver's license required
- Three years of Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- Ability to handle conflicts and demanding situations professionally
