Job Title: Director of The Ladder
Position Summary:
The Director of the Ladder is responsible for overseeing all aspects of The Ladder’s programming, including job skills courses and workforce development programs. This role involves managing and supervising program staff, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of program delivery, and fostering relationships with community partners. The Director will report directly to the Executive Vice President and play a key role in strategic planning and program development.
Key Responsibilities:
· Program Management:
o Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of all Ladder programming, including job skills courses and workforce development initiatives.
o Ensure that programs are aligned with organizational goals and effectively meet the needs of participants.
o Collaborate with the Executive Vice President and other leadership team members to develop and implement strategic plans for program growth and sustainability.
o Develop and monitor program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
o Prepare and present program reports to the Executive Vice President and other stakeholders, highlighting program achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
· Staff Management:
o Manage and supervise program staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
o Conduct performance reviews and provide regular feedback to staff members to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.
o Interview, recommend hiring, and onboard program staff, ensuring that new hires align with the organization’s values and culture.
o Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
· Partnership Development:
o Build and maintain relationships with community partners, employers, and other stakeholders to enhance program offerings and create opportunities for participants.
o Represent The Ladder at community events, meetings, and conferences to promote the organization’s mission and programs.
o Collaborate with external partners to identify and address workforce development needs and trends.
· Curriculum and Program Development:
o Work with staff and subject matter experts to develop and update curriculum materials, ensuring they are relevant, engaging, and aligned with industry standards.
o Identify opportunities for program expansion and innovation, leveraging new technologies and methodologies to enhance program delivery.
o Ensure that program materials and resources are accessible and inclusive for all participants.
· Evaluation and Reporting:
o Develop and implement program evaluation frameworks to assess program effectiveness and impact.
o Use data and feedback to continuously improve program offerings and participant outcomes.
o Provide regular reports and updates to the Executive Vice President and other stakeholders on program progress and impact.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Education, Workforce Development, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, workforce development, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
· Strong understanding of workforce development principles and practices.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
· Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and employers.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

Benefits:
· Salary Range: 70,000 to 80,000 annually
