Receiving and Scheduling ClerkPurpose & Scope of Responsibility:
The Receiving and Scheduling Clerk plays a critical role in inventory management and logistics by ensuring the accurate receipt, inspection, and scheduling of goods and materials. This position is responsible for managing incoming shipments, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining efficient scheduling to support warehouse, production, and operational functions. The clerk ensures accurate record-keeping, inspects shipments for quality and accuracy, and facilitates smooth operations by aligning deliveries with company requirements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage receiving operations, including unloading and sorting deliveries.
- Accurately process incoming shipments in the system and maintain precise records.
- Inspect Tesla returnable crates for damage and inventory discrepancies.
- Verify packing lists against purchase orders to ensure correct deliveries.
- Monitor and maintain accurate receiving records, inventory, and stock levels.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies in receiving and inventory processes.
- Schedule Tesla shipments approximately two weeks in advance based on forecasted demand.
- Coordinate shipment scheduling by location, day, truckload, and hour.
- Track forecast changes and update shipment scheduling accordingly.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and ensure accuracy.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency in shipping and receiving processes.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure returnable materials are available for upcoming builds.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse receiving, inventory management, or logistics.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, and equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $19.05 per hour
- Expected Hours: Minimum of 40 hours per week
