Qualifications
- Proven experience in permit acquisition and regulatory compliance within the pool construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bilingual, Spanish a plus.
- Proficient in Apple Systems.
- Oracle | Next Service a plus but not required.
Primary Responsibilities
Permit Specialist:
- Permit Acquisition: Research, prepare, and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies as required for our projects.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and zoning codes to ensure our projects align with all necessary requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication with government officials, agencies, and other stakeholders involved in the permitting process. Respond to any corrections required by the municipalities in a timely manner.
- Documentation Management: Maintain accurate and organized records of all permits, approvals, and related documentation.
- Record notice of commencements (NOC) for all approved permits.
- Record notice of termination for all closed passed permits.
- Problem Resolution: Proactively address and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the permitting process and schedule inspections according to the completion of the work process.
- Collaboration: Work closely and request plans/drawings from project managers, engineers, and other team members and any necessary information for permit applications.
