What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard-Boyer Pool M-F 6-10am, Clear Lake, IA position at One Vision?
Are you looking for a way to earn some extra cash? This job comes with more than just a chance to get your swim on! And, yes, this job comes with an early morning twist! If you're the type of person who loves being awake early and at work ready to roll at 6 a.m., Monday-Friday, you're just the dependable person we need to start the day off.
In addition to keeping the pool and spa clean, you'll be responsible for maintaining excellent customer relationships with pool-goers. Yes, you'll be the hero everyone needs- whether they're residents of Glen Oaks or receiving One Vision services, they'll look to you for their daily splash of joy. You'll also keep the waters safe and ensure the area and locker rooms are tidy. Plus, you'll get to perform pool testing and record results.
We will train you CPR and help you become a certified lifeguard.
Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Demonstrate sound swimming skills. To qualify for the lifeguard certification you must be able to perform the following:
- Swim 300 yards using freestyle and breaststroke without stopping.
- Tread water for 2 minutes with hands out of the water.
- Retrieve a 10-pound object from 7-10 feet of water and swim it back to the edge in under 1 minute and 40 seconds.
- Strength and stamina demonstrate the ability to perform rescues and remain alert for extended periods.
- Willing to complete CPR and First Aid certifications.
- No lifeguard certification? No worries we will train!
- Dependable candidates - customers will be depending on you to open the facility at 6 am M-F!
- Previous experience or personal experience with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
Schedule:
Part-time days are 6 am to10 am, 10am to 2pm, 2pm to 5pm, 5pm to 8am, and Saturdays and Sundays 1pm to 5 pm, including birthday parties and lessons. Our part time employees are eligible to earn PTO.
