OneCoast is hiring for a Regional Sales Director in the Mud Pie Sales Division for the Northeast Region.
The Regional Sales Director will manage the operations, sales and team of Territory Managers in the Mud Pie Sales Division for the Northeast Region. The position will report to OneCoast Vice President of Strategic Business Development and will be responsible for growing the Mud Pie brand sales to independent channel customers through the development and execution of a sales strategy targeting expansion within both the existing customer bases and the acquisition of new accounts.
The Regional Sales Director (RSD) will establish and implement independent channel sales plans and will own the leadership responsibility and accountability for the Northeast Sales Team and its performance. The RSD’s primary objectives are to develop and execute an effective growth strategy as measured by sales growth with existing and new customers, lead in the hiring of new sales managers, effectively manage the sales team, provide support in a customer-service function through day-to-day responsibility for the development & performance of the independent sales team, and participate in the development & achievement of the company’s long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and management responsibility for all aspects of the company’s independent channel sales strategy, function and performance with expectation of/in pursuit of annual goal achievement.
- Determine yearly sales and growth strategy in alignment with OneCoast's long-term goals.
- Develop solutions for overcoming customer objections, penetrating new markets and increasing overall sales.
- Identify new target accounts and target markets.
- Direct account planning, revenue forecasting and performance management by sales team region.
- Develop and utilize reporting tools to effectively manage your regional team's sales performance.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of new team members.
- Collaborate with the OneCoast leadership and vendor partners to ensure a strong communication strategy and effectiveness of overall sales efforts.
- Provide support and resources to nurture the growth and development of the Territory Managers’ career goals
- Assist in planning and executing the bi-annual national trade shows and seasonal markets that occur at the AmericasMart in Atlanta, GA.
- Provide management expertise on one or more cross-functional, company teams.
- Lead a team of Territory Managers in alignment with the OneCoast Core Values and foster a healthy company culture through your leadership style.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in sales management in the wholesale, or related, industry with sales responsibility of at least $20 million
- Proven ability to consistently achieve key performance results that includes yearly sales goals
- Strong prospecting skills and track record of developing new accounts and growing sales with existing customers
- Proven understanding of selling and sales management best practices
- Experience with successful sales leadership and performance execution, including improving and supervising the day-to-day function of a sales organization
- Prior experience in the wholesale industry and/or retail trade, including pre-existing established relationships in the retail trade strongly preferred
- Excellent communications skills with an ability to motivate and inspire
- Driven, proactive, innovative and flexible personality with a strong sense of initiative and ownership
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficient in CRM software or related software used to analyze sales and customer data
