The Registration Front Desk Coordinator will collaborate with other team members to provide customer care with an innovative spirit and help drive a holistic approach to care and reduce stigma. At the same time, The Registration Front Desk Coordinator will be comfortable working in ambiguous situations and blend best-in-class care delivery models with advanced technology solutions to engage care team members, improve outcomes, and reduce costs.
The Registration Front Desk Coordinator has primary responsibility for clerical duties involved with coordinating consumer care at the site. These duties include but are not limited to greeting consumers/visitors, answering phones, directing visitors/consumers to the appropriate areas and performing routine clerical duties. It is also the responsibility of this position to model and maintain high professional conduct and standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assure telephone is answered in a timely manner and all messages are relayed to the appropriate program
- Check and complete reminder calls or correspondences for clients.
- Greet consumers/visitors as they enter the building.
- File and retrieve all documentation needed to comply with state and federal regulations.
- Obtain client demographics, authorization release and verify insurance information at each visit.
- Complete intake and financial paperwork with consumers.
- Register and check in consumers for scheduled appointments.
- Obtain necessary client information to meet current Federal guidelines and insurance use guidelines for electronic medical records.
- Enter and scan pertinent client information into EH, including client authorizations, client letters, recent labs delivered etc.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and input recall notices into EMR as needed
- Request medical charts from hospitals, behavioral health centers or other community providers.
- Obtain information sheet on new clients and prepare charts, including initiating new charts or retrieving existing charts.
- Understand and adhere to HIPAA and 42 CFR laws.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge and experience in working in a medical or behavioral health setting.

Minimum:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in medical or behavioral health.
- Experience working in behavioral health and primary care.
- Previous experience in a medical office and working in an EHR.
- Availability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
- Work Setting: Indoors, environmentally controlled
- Body Positioning: § Spend time sitting and standing, making repetitive motions, and spend time using hands to handle, control ,or feel objects, tools ,or controls. Frequently lift or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
