Job Summary:
We're looking for an innovative Electrical Engineer to join our manufacturing team and drive growth in our solution-focused business model. From day one, you'll collaborate with various business units to design, develop, and bring to production cutting-edge power solutions for clients across national and international markets. Our ideal candidate is a creative thinker, quick to analyze complex challenges and even quicker to work toward effective solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Apply engineering fundamentals to solve complex electrical/electronic design problems and develop innovative power solutions based on project requirements and organizational standards.
- Commissioning Job.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for all electrical designs, including wiring diagrams/schematics, bill of materials, assembly drawings, and design changes, test reports, design-validation plan, and reports to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
- Modify machinery for new model introductions, safety, or quality improvements.
- Write detailed equipment specifications for the procurement of manufacturing equipment.
- Lead in the start-up and debug of new equipment.
- Manage projects from inception through completion.
- Prepares sketches and performs calculations for detailed segment of a project.
- Prepares equipment specifications, inquiry, and purchase requisitions for approval.
- Evaluates vendors' bids and drawings to assure compliance with specifications.
- Communicates equipment design to client and other design disciplines.
- Reviews and approves design drawings for assigned segment of a project.
- May participate in reviews of Process Flow Diagrams and Piping and Instrument Diagrams.
- Participates in the preparation of equipment lists and load summaries.
- Participates in preparation of design guides, guide specifications and contract proposals.
- Participates in plant start-ups and field assignments as required.
- Participates in equipment inspections at vendor's facilities.
- Electrical engineer will lead the development of cells and testing to support the needs of a global li-ion battery business in the areas of new product development. Major responsibilities include development of cell specifications, supporting supplier qualifications, executing new product development projects, supporting the development of technology roadmaps, supporting advanced quality initiatives, and performing cell testing and analysis. This includes working in a collaborative team environment with marketing, project management, quality, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, agency/safety teams, and global manufacturing operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Electrical/electronics engineering is a plus.
- 2 years' experience as an electrical engineer.
- Strong understanding of electronic testing and database design capabilities.
- Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing processes.
- Experience programming PLCs, Safety PLCs, and HMIs.
- Experience with hardware and safety circuit design for automated machines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, including cross functional teams and multiple engineering disciplines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill; capable to organize, plan, and lead effective meetings.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
