Duties
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including debits and credits.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and company records.
- Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collection of payments.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in financial report writing for management review.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Utilize Sage and other financial software to streamline accounting processes.
- Support governmental accounting requirements as needed, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with public accounting firms during audits and tax preparation processes.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of debits and credits, with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in bank reconciliation processes and techniques.
- Experience with Sage or similar financial software is preferred.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Background in public accounting is advantageous but not required.
- Excellent skills in financial report writing and analysis.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
