What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teller / Member Service Representative position at Oneida County Federal Credit Union?
Responsibilities: Someone oversee the daily operations of our credit union and work closely with manager as a team with the best interest of the credit union.
- Provide exceptional customer service to members by assisting with inquiries, account maintenance, and problem resolution.
- Process various financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
- Perform accurate and efficient cash handling using a cash register or computerized system.
- Assist members with loan applications and process loan documents.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members to promote loyalty and retention.
- Educate members on available financial services and products to meet their needs.
- Monitor accounts for potential fraud and take appropriate action to prevent or detect fraudulent activity.
- Meet or exceed sales goals by actively promoting credit union products and services.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and provide a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a financial institution.
- Knowledge of basic math principles and ability to perform debits and credits accurately.
- Familiarity with loan processing procedures is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with members.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications.
- Knowledge of fraud prevention and detection techniques is desirable.
