Physician Assistant (PA) - Primary Care

Oneida Health is seeking a full-time, experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing Primary Care network, which includes eleven board-certified physicians and seven APPs. The ideal candidate will have two or more years of experience and be a self-starter who can “hit the ground running.” Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with one remote admin day. There is no call requirement. This position is located at our Family Care office in Oneida.

Compensation: $98,500 to $135,000 per year based on experience

What You’ll be Great At:

• Assessing and establishing a presumptive diagnosis and implementing treatment plans.
• Making accurate and complete entries into the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing and consults as appropriate and prescribing appropriate medical therapy utilizing evidence-based practice.
• Prescribing, adjusting, or discontinuing medications or therapies as appropriate.
• Evaluating and reporting to physicians any circumstances or test results that present a significant risk to patient health or well-being.
• Performing procedures within the scope of practice of the physician assistant license.
• Communicating appropriate information to physicians, patients, PCP, and referring staff.
• Provide safe, ethical care and health education to patients and their families, instilling confidence in patients and acting as their advocates.

Your Essential Qualifications:

  • Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (Required)
     
• License:
  • NY Physician Assistant license (Required)
     
• Experience
  • Outpatient Office: Two or more years of experience (Required)
