LG2 Environmental Solutions (LG2) provides a wide range of quality, responsive environmental services across the United States. Their capabilities include archaeological and cultural resource assessments (terrestrial and underwater), natural resource assessment, and management.
LG2 has an immediate opening for an Archaeological Field Director in the Jacksonville, FL Area (based on a hybrid schedule).
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation of research designs, work plans, and schedules.
- Fieldwork for survey, site evaluation, and site mitigation.
- Work alongside a team of qualified project managers, archaeologists, researchers, and other scientists.
- Contribute to archaeological or architectural historical analysis and reporting.
- Archaeological field and laboratory procedures which include mapping, photography, collection, and handling of artifacts, all while ensuring that the data collected is accurate, organized, and of high quality.
- Travel is expected to be part of conducting cultural resources fieldwork, but, on average, approximately 35 percent of the year would be spent in a local office or on a local project.
- This role may occasionally require you to collect data in extreme climate conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Cultural Resources Management, Archaeology, Anthropology, or closely related field.
- 3 years of progressive Cultural Resource Management experience.
- Proven ability to maintain favorable crew relations and contribute to a team setting.
- Possession of a valid drivers license.
- Be able to lift and move equipment upwards of 30 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with NEPA/NHPA/ARPA/NAGPRA state and federal agency and tribal consultation
- Member of the Registry of Professional Archaeologist
- Experience with archaeological projects in the eastern U.S. or satisfying the NHPA Section 106 process.
Compensation Range:
- $55,000-65,000
