We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented SEO Program Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee key aspects of our SEO program, manage critical workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Technology, Creative, Legal/Compliance, and Analytics to drive organic growth and visibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SEO best practices, content management, and local SEO strategy.
In the Role
- Load and manage content updates using our CMS (Contentful).
- Lead and manage calls and agendas with key SEO vendors (e.g., Conductor, Chatmeter, Milestone).
- Maintain the content calendar, support editorial planning, and facilitate legal approvals for published content.
- Update and maintain branch addresses and local listings while supporting authority-building activities.
- Utilize SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Conductor, Google Analytics) to inform strategies, test initiatives, and track performance.
- Compile and deliver consistent reporting on organic performance and optimization progress.
- Answer general SEO questions, support training efforts, and help integrate SEO practices across teams.
- Assist with quarterly technical audits and provide basic guidance on schema and other technical SEO best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience.
- 2-3 years of proven experience in SEO program management or a related role.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, including local SEO, schema, and technical audits.
- Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms (e.g., Conductor).
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- 2-3 years of managing vendor relationships and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful)
- Knowledge of legal content management and approval processes
- Familiarity with tools like Workfront for project management
Location: Baltimore, MD; Wilmington, DE
Target base salary range is $60,000 - $80,000, which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
