What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP/MD, Incentives position at OneMain Financial?

With around 1,300 branches a central sales/servicing organization and expanding auto finance and credit card business, the need for a closely managed incentives program is critical to the business’s performance. Our well-structured design and deployment of incentive schemes has been a key differentiator in our industry.
To support this, the Incentives leader – VP/MD, will drive executive management goals into specific, measurable metrics down to the Team Member level through Incentives schemes across all areas of business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee company-wide operations incentive programs across personal loan, auto finance and credit card businesses
- Work cross functionally with operations leaders, analytics and HR to build out incentive programs and business targets aligned with overall business goals
- Manage team of Finance Professionals
- Manage all VIP activities for Branch, Central, Auto Finance and Credit Card.
- Lead Incentive program plan design process to adapt to changing environment and business goals.
- Monitor existing plan performance and alignment to company goals.
- Facilitate monthly company-wide target setting process and distribution of targets to respective teams, down to TM level
- Approve pay file submissions monthly and maintain auditable database of awards.
- Manage Rankings methodology and related performance management tools.
- Manage Communications supporting all areas of VIP Process.
- Partner with HR to lead Incentive committee meetings with other business partners including Legal, Compliance and all relevant stakeholders to ensure best practice is followed throughout our incentive plans.
- Manage financial planning and monthly accounting entries related to VIP.
- Management of systems allowing TM’s tracking of earned $ month to date.
- Ad-hoc reporting, analysis and business support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience required
- Strong communication skills including presentation, public speaking and writing ability
- Proven ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and Senior Management
- This role requires someone who has good management skills, can work effectively with cross functional teams to get buy in and is a self-starter, looking to drive constant process improvement
- Exceptional financial analysis skills
- Proficient in all MS Office Programs
