Job Description :
The Compliance Director will report to OneOncology's Compliance Department Leadership. This role will be a vital part of the organization's commitment to building an industry leading Compliance Program. The Compliance Director will serve as the primary point of contact for both OneOncology and United Urology Group's RCM initiatives and will have oversight of the Compliance audit program. As needed, this role will support affiliate practices in the development, implementation, and management of their compliance programs. The Compliance Director will be expected to use critical thinking, sound judgment and clear communication when interacting with their team and business stakeholders in the execution of the audit program and RCM related activities.
Responsibilities
- Development and monitoring of RCM controls and activities across platforms, including the implementation of new activities as new guidance emerges.
- Interact with and provide guidance to RCM teams as it relates to key billing initiatives, leading practices, and programmatic opportunities for improvement.
- Lead and oversee efforts to analyze data, trends, and workflows and make recommendations on risk mitigation, and improved efficiencies.
- Provides subject matter expertise in regulatory healthcare compliance and privacy to managed physician practices, including healthcare coding, billing and reimbursement, and fraud waste and abuse compliance.
- Oversee the Compliance audit program. This includes a routine monitoring program, development of an annual audit plan, execution of an annual enterprise risk assessment, and gap analyses as needed.
- Supervises a team providing support, guidance and growth opportunities. Foster a team environment through regular feedback and check ins.
- Provide regulatory support for practices at various stages including due diligence, on boarding, and ongoing maintenance. This support would include addressing organic practice growth and the integration of add on physician acquisitions.
- Provides support and guidance to the designated compliance leader(s) at each OneOncology affiliated practice, including administrators and physician leaders serving in such roles.
- Generates and creates reports on compliance activity relating to RCM and audit forPractice leadership, and respective governing boards, as requested.
- Assist RCM with the development and maintenance of policies accounting for applicable federal and state laws and regulations
- Develops and maintains productive working relationships between compliance, legal, and operations at the corporate and practice level to ensure that processes are consistently applied, and compliance related efforts are coordinated.
- Maintains up to date regulatory knowledge of applicable federal and state healthcare compliance and privacy laws and accreditation standards (e.g., ACHC) and develops initiatives to implement assigned practices.
- Chair each practice compliance committee, including developing appropriate agendas, reports, and assisting in completion of action items.
- Other tasks as assigned to drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.
