Job Description :
The Supervisor, Eligibility Verification and Benefits will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Eligibility Verification and Benefit Specialists. This role functions as a leader and subject matter expert related to payer benefit plan designs and eligibility. The Eligibility Verification and Benefits team ensures OneOncology confirms patient's insurance coverage for reimbursement before treatment occurs.
Responsibilities :
- Oversees the day-to-day operations and supervision of the Eligibility Verification and Benefits Specialist team
- Provide expertise and guidance to the eligibility staff.
- Maintain an expert knowledge of insurance payer networks, benefit plan designs and COB guidelines
- Ensure insurances are properly defined and chosen to allow for accurate downstream workflows such as fee schedules.
- Working knowledge of eligibility tools.
- Assist with the development of policy and procedures and workflows ensuring best practice.
- Provide backup coverage for the team, as needed.
- Routinely communicates with RCM leadership, escalating issues as necessary.
- Strive to meet established KPI metrics.
- Escalate global issues and other problems to RCM leadership.
