Manufacturing Management Director
Location : Suwanee, GA
Salary range : DOE
Directs the production department operations by planning, implementing and adjusting processes and resources.
Directs managers, support and / or hourly personnel engaged in some or all of the following production activities :
- Assembly, machine operation and / or Fabrication
- Product Preparation, phase in, phase out
- Quality Inspection
This position may also oversee one or more of the following production support activities :
Develops, recommends and implements department short- and long-term production goals and targets to meet objectives while maintaining QCDSE standards.
Develops, recommends and implements policies, methods and processes to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operation.
Directs the implementation of new products into production, reports results and recommends process changes. Reviews all new product evaluations from Pre-mass through Turnover evaluation reporting and makes recommendation for approval to Division and Group Manager.
Directs the resolution of production problems and product quality issues. Oversees the problem investigation and resolution process. Monitors results and coordinates activities to enhance improvements or implement additional corrective measures.
Reviews and analyzes consolidated data for department to identify trends, problems and opportunities and recommends actions to improve performance results.
Consolidates reports and prepares presentations to inform senior management of departmental progress and problems.
Directs the work performance of assistant director, managers, supervisors, professionals and / or support personnel including :
Implements, promotes and monitors the effectiveness of corporate systems and programs such as QMS, EMS, ISMS, SOX and Kaizen / 5S within the department.
Directs the implementation of safety initiatives and monitors department achievement to objectives and targets. Approves safety corrective / preventive actions and monitors their implementation.
Regularly interacts with senior management on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and customers. Frequently communicates with Company Family Group, vendors, suppliers and customers to resolve issues with product quality, delivery or new product introduction. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.
Advanced problem solving skills needed to resolve complex and / or high impact process and quality problems, often requiring collaboration with other departments, customers or vendors.
