GENERAL FUNCTION
The Supervisor - Production role plays an integral role in operational success across Logistics, Supply Chain and Programming. The primary duties of this role include fleet and equipment management, upkeep, maintenance and repair, on-clinic troubleshooting and support, as well as driver compliance. This role is responsible for ensuring safe and timely delivery of OneSight vehicles, either by directly operating the vehicles or by coordinating with contract/volunteer drivers and transportation services. Additionally, they serve as the manufacturing lead and operations support for clinics.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance, compliance, upkeep, and transport of OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation fleet
- Documents and maintain appropriate written and/or digital documentation and training of mobile asset operations
- Supports North America Programming by driving the fleet to clinics and functioning as the manufacturing and equipment lead
- Documents manufacturing and equipment best practices and standard operating procedures
- Facilitates training of Program Managers and manufacturing team leaders on the equipment and manufacturing processes for North America clinics
- Coordinates with cross functional partners to ensure skills requirements for volunteers are well documented and communicated
- Oversees and ensures excellent clinic troubleshooting and support for equipment
- On-call support is required during events for real-time support or any additional support requested
- Partners with the North America cross-functional team on the upkeep of clinic calendars, configurations, equipment needs, resource planning and lead times
- Recommends equipment procurement, as needed, in coordination with cross-functional teams
- In coordination with the support team, oversees and monitors the logistics of Changing Lives Through Lens (CLTL) Equipment Kit rentals
- Executes cross-functional duties as assigned in support of the distribution team at the Regional Operations Center. Duties may include, but are not limited to 1) Supporting the team in warehouse operations as needed; 2) Contributing to physical inventories; 3) Supporting special projects; 4) Final inspection and kitting of North America shuttle work
- Comply with all safety regulations as well as maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all proper forklift operations and maintain forklift records including but not limited to safety updates, maintenance schedules, act as trainer for Regional Operations Center team members
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years working in an optical lab or technical setting
- Ability to operate a stand-up fork truck
- Active Class B CDL required or the ability to obtain with a clean driving record
- Self-Starter and the ability to work with minimal supervision is necessary
