Job Summary
We are seeking a detail oriented Bookkeeper with experience in Quickbooks and a background in the construction or similar industry. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of bookkeeping experience and be comfortable managing day-to-day accounting operations,payroll,and project-related financial tasks. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks desktop and online, including data entry,accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Track and monitor project-related expenses to maintain budget integrity and cost control.
- Assist with financial reports including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and job-specific cost reports
- Work closely with Project managers and other stakeholders to manage project budgets and cash-flow.
- Prepare and assist in filing sales tax and other regulatory reports.
- Assist with month end and year end closing procedures
- Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve invoice discrepancies,payment issues, and other related queries
- Experience with Benefit deductions
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of bookkeeping experience preferably in the construction or related industry
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Netchex software, and Microsoft office suite, especially excel is highly preferred with Experience in job costing and project accounting.
Preferred skills:
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
- Effective communication skills,both written and verbal, with a customer service mindset
- Experience with progress billing, change orders, and work-in-progress (WIP) reports
- Experience working in a fast paced environment where priorities may change quickly.
