We are seeking a mission-driven Social Assistance Navigator to join our team!
This is a full-time position based out of the Learning Community Center of South Omaha (23 rd and M) also covering our Bancroft Elementary location. This position works with participant families at their homes or at the center/school and coordinates with other staff at the LCCSO. The schedule will be based off of the participants’ needs and team meetings. Working some evenings or Saturdays will be required as some of our participants work during the day.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in human services, social services, psychology, sociology or related field required. A bachelor’s degree in social work or early childhood education is preferred.
- One or more years of experience in social services is preferred. Knowledge of social service resources and experience completing needs assessments and evaluations is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish including written, verbal, and presentation skills required.
- Competency in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, is required.
- Demonstrated task and detail orientation, completing and documenting visits in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently but still committed to the team function and overall program mission.
- Willingness to visit program participants in their homes is required. A valid driver’s license and automobile insurance, along with a clean driving record, are required.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish relationships with people of diverse populations and backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to generate innovative ideas to enhance our social service offerings and to connect larger numbers of participants with supportive resources.
- Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings.
