What you'll do as: Inside Sales
- Coordinate and process sample requests according to established procedures, considering product availability and typical lead times.
- Provide accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries, aiming for resolution within 24 hours.
- Engage daily with internal teams, external clients, manufacturing locations, and business development managers to ensure seamless communication.
- Review customer-issued blanket purchase orders for compliance and accuracy, following the contract review process when applicable.
- Act as a direct point of contact to support business development managers as needed.
- Collaborate with business development managers to generate and manage quotations for custom products in line with documented guidelines.
- Conduct detailed account performance reviews and analysis to assist business development efforts when required.
- Assist business development managers with special initiatives, including trade shows, product samples, literature distribution, presentations, and technical events.
- Establish and manage organized customer files to maintain data integrity.
- Provide backup support to the order entry team when necessary.
- Contribute to onboarding and training new team members as directed.
Work Experience
The preferred candidate might have:
- Business College degree preferred.
- Prefer a minimum 3-5 years experience in Industrial inside sales and/or sales support function. Industrial/Distribution experience is also beneficial.
- Experience reading prints and specifications
- Knowledge of corrugated plastic tubing, Textile Sleeving, Automation Protection, and Cable Glands
- The ability to speak Spanish is very beneficial but not required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Google applications(Gmail, calendar, drive ,docs, sheets and slides). Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with custom software applications.
- Exceptional ability to organize and communicate information clearly, both verbally and in writing, for presenting insights to sales teams, leadership, and clients.
- Skilled in balancing multiple tasks, managing priorities, and supporting numerous business development managers and accounts simultaneously.
- Demonstrated expertise in analytical thinking, problem resolution, and strategic reasoning.
- Highly motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
- Advanced mathematical skills, including detailed analysis of margins, unit conversions (weight, length), and currency calculations.
- Ability to identify emerging trends and increased activity for major or new programs, providing data-driven insights to assist business development managers in making informed decisions.
- Superior written and verbal communication capabilities, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in all interactions.
- Dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service, focusing on both internal teams and external partners.
- Proficient in fostering collaborative relationships with internal departments and manufacturing teams.
- Expertise in organizing and managing electronic and physical records to maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation.
- Experience in building and nurturing strong customer relationships, serving as primary account support when business development managers are unavailable.
