Load Bay Tester

We have a full time opportunity available in Pflugerville, TX for a Load Bay Tester. This position is available as a Contract to Hire opportunity with 1st shift hours. Starting pay is $17-18/hr based on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Read point to point electrical diagrams, bill of materials and other production instructions
2. Run WeeTech Tester and trouble-shoot all failures; rework failures to pass
3. Ensure quality inspection is performed on all load bays
4. Inspect for solder quality, insufficient solder, burnt wires and broken or cracked blocks
5. Adjust, repair or replace wiring or electrical components to correct defects and to ensure conformance with specifications
6. Assemble cabinets with minimum usage of electrical diagrams, diagrams, and/or bullet point instructions
7. Cut to length, strip, tin and crimp wire
8. Use powered and unpowered hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire cutters, crimpers and wrenches, drills, shear, powered screwdrivers
9. Interpret available blueprints, diagrams and instruction bullet points and assemble sub-assemblies
10. Accurately eliminate and route wires at the designated locations as described by an electrical diagram
11. Solder wires to specified points
12. Complete inventory-tracking paperwork
13. Participate in continuous improvement efforts
14. Cross train in other areas such as signals and fabrication

1. Must have an aptitude for electronic control equipment
2. Must be able to pay attention to detail consistently
3. Must be able to work in a team environment
4. Must be able to perform all of the essential duties including working from incomplete documentation such as drawings, bills of materials (BOM’s), assembly prints, and / or cut lists. Able to communicate effectively with Engineering to support build of the product from partial documentation or red line drawings. Must be able to create a redline drawing and or cut list by supplying the correct information.
5. Must pass a pre-employment background check
6. Must pass a pre-employment drug test
7. Must be authorized to work in the United States
