What You'll Do as a Sit-down Forklift Operator:
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility.
- Inventory Management: Accurately place and organize products in designated storage areas, perform routine inventory counts, and report discrepancies.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily inspections of forklifts, report mechanical issues, and perform minor maintenance tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines, ensure loads are properly secured, and maintain a clean work environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of material movements and coordinate with staff to ensure workflow efficiency.
- Testing: Requires the ability to pass a forklift assessment while operating equipment.
Work Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain.
