What You'll Do as a Sit-down Forklift Operator:
- Safely operate a sit-down forklift to efficiently move and manage materials.
- Accurately pick and process orders, ensuring attention to detail.
- Unload, receive, and put away incoming shipments.
- Restock and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate counts.
- Load shipments onto trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Handle merchandise with care, preventing damage.
- Track and document shipment arrival and departure times.
- Tag, label, and organize inventory according to established guidelines.
- Box, wrap, and pack merchandise for shipment.
- Prepare all orders for timely shipment.
- Record and manage any damaged or impaired inventory.
- Utilize RF scanners and inventory management software.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Work Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience using RF scanners/PDA devices
- Picking and inventory management experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
