Position Description
RNs are central to our facilities and their skills are vital to the care we provide, making a difference in patients lives every day. Cadia Healthcare is dedicated to providing the best care possible and as a RN Unit Manager, thats exactly what youll do! By relying on your nursing and managerial experience, youll supervise the day to day duties of the nursing staff. Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting in electronic medical records, etc., as necessary.
- Review documentation in the electronic health record/POC for accuracy and completeness.
- Inform unit nursing staff of new admissions, their expected time of arrival, room assignment, etc. and assure that rooms are ready for new admissions.
- Consult with the resident, his/her family, and the residents provider in planning the residents care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., as necessary.
- Assure that notification of the residents provider and next of kin have been notified when there is a change in the residents condition.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy to order/reorder resident medications including narcotics.
- Review the Medication Administration Audit Report, Facility Dashboard and C.N.A. flow books for completeness of documentation and accuracy.
- Participate in an on-call schedule.
Qualifications
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in Delaware or compact state.
- Must possess a current CPR license.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred
- Previous long term care experience is desirable.
