What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Assistant position at Onixen LLC?
Education & Experience
- Understanding of the role and importance of sustainability initiatives in manufacturing.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using NetSuite is strongly preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated experience using an ERP or ordering system is required.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable functions.
Job Responsibilities
- Gather data from vendors regarding sustainability initiatives, including carbon footprint, resource management, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Monitor vendor compliance with sustainability standards and company guidelines.
- Assist in vendor reporting and scorecarding processes.
- Issue purchase orders for warehouse/factory consumables, office/breakroom supplies, and general plant needs.
- Liaise with Accounts Payable to ensure invoicing and receipts are accurate and resolve discrepancies with minimal business impact.
- Work with vendors, QA, and accounting to handle returns and credits.
- Interact with the Inventory Control Team and Receiving to assess plant needs.
- Utilize NetSuite to adjust POs and receipts and generate schedules and reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
