What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager position at Online Transport?
Basic Functions & Objectives:
- The Account Manager role at Online Transport is a critical role that works to support our professional drivers and customers while achieving stated goals.
- This professional will need to have exceptional communication skills and a strong ability to multitask while paying attention to detail.
- Maintaining and further developing strong relationships with current customers.
- Work with your leader and team members to develop cross-coverage training plans and other duties as assigned.
- Provide input and suggestions on process improvement ideas.
Responsibilities:
- Data Entry, scheduling, shipment tracking, and status updates for customers.
- Updating Customer Portals, when required.
- Ensure all paperwork is entered for each load (i.e. tender, BOL, lumper receipt etc.)
- Developing creative problem-solving procedures through experience and abstract
- thinking.
- Communicate with Driver Leaders regarding pickups, deliveries, issues, and concerns.
- Develop countermeasures to provide best in class service.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the trucking industry, dispatching and/or driver management is preferred.
- Great attitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good understanding of FMCSR's (Hours of Service and Axle Weight & Spacing).
- Ability to work independently is a must.
- Must be exceptional with driver and customer relations.
- Ability to efficiently use Windows and Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
