Job Summary:
As our Receptionist, you'll be the friendly face and voice of our agency, ensuring smooth communication and providing critical administrative support. This role is perfect for a multitasker who knows how to prioritize, stays organized under pressure, and enjoys being part of a dynamic team.
What You’ll Do:
- Professionally manage a multi-line phone system, confidently routing calls and addressing inquiries.
- Represent our agency’s mission and philosophy with a welcoming and positive attitude to patients, families, physicians, and community partners.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring callers and visitors feel valued and supported.
- Assist with clerical tasks such as receiving, filing, and entering incoming faxes.
- Accurately enter patient referrals into our system with attention to detail.
- Provide additional support to administration as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: High school diploma required; College coursework is a plus.
- Experience: At least one year of medical office experience, ideally in home health.
- Skills:
- Strong computer proficiency, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to read and understand medical documents.
- Polished phone etiquette and a professional demeanor.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation is required.
Working Environment:
- Routine office setting with moderate noise levels.
- Flexibility to adjust to occasional extended hours or travel locally.
- Some physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, kneeling, and reaching for files.
- Potential exposure to minor environmental hazards (e.g., toner or inclement weather).
