Job Title: BIM Coordinator

Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 per year
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated BIM Coordinator to join our electrical construction team. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, data-enriched models for both new construction and renovation projects across a variety of commercial and retail facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in BIM software, particularly AutoCAD and Revit, combined with a solid understanding of electrical systems and construction documentation. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Review electrical wiring layouts, lighting plans, one-line diagrams, and construction drawings
Audit and verify project models for accuracy and production readiness
Prepare and update electrical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit while adhering to company drafting standards
Develop comprehensive Revit models for electrical and lighting systems, including construction documentation
Maintain project drawing files, libraries, layer standards, and documentation consistency
Support limited design functions such as equipment layout and spatial planning
Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external consultants to ensure clear communication and project alignment
Assist in maintaining and updating departmental standards, symbols, and workflows
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in BIM coordination or electrical drafting
Proficiency in 2D/3D drafting using AutoCAD and Revit
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and applicable drafting standards
Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical details clearly
Experience in lighting design is an advantage
Must pass drug screening and background check
Valid driver's license required
