Lead Server
Snow Mountain, LLC is located in the spectacular Lassen Volcanic National Park in California. As one of the country's oldest national parks, Lassen is consumed with gorgeous hiking trails, picturesque lakes that afford fishing and kayaking, and cabins and campgrounds for the those that want to experience the rustic feel of the beautiful outdoors! We are seeking seasonal workers for between the months of May and October. Affordable housing, if needed, is available.
Summary of Position:
Assist the Restaurant Manager in training and supporting all Servers to be proficient in serving food and/or beverages in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in the company’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide training and support to less experienced Restaurant staff by modeling professionalism with guests and other employees
- Ensure accuracy with all guest orders by maintaining expert knowledge of POS system(s)
- Possess thorough and accurate knowledge of menu items and specials
- Proficient and honest in cash handling and credit card transactions
- Assist Restaurant management with coaching of restaurant staff and maintain thorough knowledge of Company’s Restaurant operating procedures
- Ensure alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages are served in accordance with Federal, State, Local regulations and Company procedures
- Assist Restaurant management with timely and accurate sales and tips reports and cash/credit card receipts
- Understand Company ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, Health and Safety standards, policies, goals and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas
- Model teamwork and help restaurant management meet business objectives
- Other duties per Duties Checklist and as requested
Position Requirements:
- Possess ServSafe Certification in accordance with Company policy
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
- Excellent communication skills
- Be a team player capable of encouraging others in a positive manner
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and handle tasks involving bending, twisting and squatting
- Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment, in close proximity to other people
Education and Experience:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum (1) year in a restaurant establishment Resort/National Park Concession preferred
