We are currently seeking a highly motivated, service driven individual to join our team of professionals in providing first-class IT support services to our growing list of satisfied clients.
The role
The Tier 2 Support Specialist possesses strong communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service, and is able to resolve advanced incidents and requests. The Tier 2 Support Specialist assists in the setup, configuration and troubleshooting of client network infrastructure and system security.
Responsibilities
Providing Tier 2 support for service tickets including:
- Remote and onsite desktop support for client end users
- Troubleshooting advanced user issues such as software errors, network connectivity problems, etc.
- Install and configure software
- Conduct the design and implementation of systems, software, and networks for clients
- Configuring, installing and troubleshooting servers, firewalls, routers, switches, etc.
- Document client environments
- Document processes and procedures
- Take ownership of assigned tickets to completion
- Miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Coordination of service via phone, email, ticketing and project portals
Required knowledge and skills
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Server and PC products at a high level
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Server and workstation patching
- Knowledge and experience with advanced networking principles, such as VLANs, Routing, DNS, DHCP, Subnetting, etc.
- PowerShell scripting proficiency
- Network security concepts and best practices
- Exceptional critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly
- Ability and desire to develop relationships with clients and internal staff
- Mastery of the English language, use of proper grammar, style, and spelling in written and verbal communications
- Able to multi-task efficiently
- Precise and accurate execution of tasks in a timely manner
- Create and follow support processes
Schedule
8:30am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday
Location
This is an onsite position in Las Cruces, NM.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
