The communications specialist role, located in Scottsdale, Arizona, will be a member of the corporate brand and communications department within the corporate marketing organization and will report to the internal communications manager. The corporate communications specialist is responsible for supporting company-wide communications internally. The successful candidate will develop engaging content, implement intranet upgrades, streamline communication, maintain the group’s metrics and key performance indicators, partner with company affinity groups and work occasionally at community relations/volunteer events.

This role is on-site in our Scottsdale, AZ office
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related discipline
- 4-6 years of communications, marketing communications, agency experience or a master’s degree
- Self-starter with strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and obtain successful results
- A strong command of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Bonus experience and skills include SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite, video/audio editing software and/or conversational/blog writing style
- Experience working in a large, technical organization is a plus
- Strength in collaborating with colleagues across the function and developing relationships at all levels of the organization
- Confidence and ease interacting with a wide range of people and personalities
- Sound knowledge of organizational communications methods, techniques and processes
- High level of professionalism, integrity and ethics
- Collaborating closely with members of each onsemi department to ensure open, accurate and clear communication between all levels of employees.
- Updating onsemi’s internal SharePoint website, supporting upgrades and redesign requests, to encourage employee understanding and engagement.
- Acting as the communications liaison with internal on-site committees and clubs, including the employee activities committee.
- Helping to plan, execute strategies and communicate employee appreciation activities or events, as necessary.
- Managing the employee feedback inbox.
- Maintaining the department’s metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Manage content on the company’s internal mobile app and site monitors.
- Research internal corporate communications tactics, processes, best practices, strategies and tools to ensure that onsemi remains competitive and current with our corporate communications.
