What will you be doing in this role:
- Utilize technical acumen and an in-depth understanding of business processes and practices to influence the creation, modification, and execution of operational and strategic plans.
- Create, Analyze, and organize raw data Build data systems and pipelines.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive correspondence, and reports, and carry out independent research and fact-finding assignments.
- Define problem areas and evaluate, recommend, and implement alternative solutions to complex issues and problems.
- Promote teamwork, a positive work environment, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Conduct complex data analysis and report on results, interpreting trends and patterns to meet the evolving needs of the company.
- Demonstrate ability to design, administrator programs, and support the Relational or Multidimensional Data Base Management Systems
- Collaborate with data scientists and architects to work on projects not limited to building algorithms and prototypes.
What experience do you need to have to succeed
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is required. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in database administration, information technology, and database system architecture is required.
- Strong experience with ETL and database technologies (Informatica).
- Strong SQL knowledge as well as an understanding of database structures, models, and solid knowledge of database techniques
- Experience with database languages and technologies (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL), SQL Server Integration Services, package design, and data analysis.
- Experience in the design, administration, programming, and support of Relational or Multidimensional Data Base Management Systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server and DB2) in one or more computing environments (e.g., Windows, Unix, Oracle)
- Data administration and management functions (collection, cleaning, analysis, distribution, etc.).
- Thorough understanding of the relational database model and solid theoretical knowledge of relational database techniques.
